How to install a beacon correctly ?

Led screw beacon

Installation steps

If each mounting method has its own mounting system, the installation of beacons is relatively similar for all models, regardless of the equipment chosen.

Concerning the wiring of a rotating beacon on the power supply terminal block, it is different depending on the product range. You can find the user manuals directly on the product pages which detail the installation steps of the flashing light according to the model.

Which mounting method should you choose to install your flashing lights ?

There are several ways to mount your beacons. The installation method varies according to the model of beacon you choose for your industrial vehicles - some ranges offer several mounting methods.

Here are the different solutions:

  • ISO 3-point mounting: 100% secure solution on a stable three-point base.
  • Fixation by rod / Fixation with central bolt: quick solution requiring only one hole on the vehicle and allowing to protect the power supply wires in the M12 bolt.
  • Pole mount: Locking by clamping ring or thumb screw. This type of mounting requires a pole connection - weld-on, screw-on, lay-on or remote system.
  • Flexible shaft attachment: shock absorbing solution thanks to its flexible base, locking by clamping ring. This fixing requires a pole connection - weld-on, screw-on or remote system.
  • Magnetic or suction cup attachment: solution for occasional use that does not require drilling, connected by a spiral cable with a cigarette lighter connector. Resistance to 200 km/h.
